The Witcher has yet to make an appearance with season 3, keeping us eagerly, and might I add – frustratingly waiting.

While we keep constantly checking for recent updates, let’s relive some of the best moments from Geralt and Cirilla‘s destined bond.

Geralt and Ciri‘s destiny was bound from the moment the Witcher claimed the law of surprise, treating us to a beautiful journey of a paternal bond that was neither bound by blood nor mere duty and rivaled all others in tv shows.

While there are several best moments which can’t all be listed down, we’ll look at some which left us wanting more:

1. Geralt’s first fated meeting with Ciri

In the season 1 finale, the long-awaited meeting of the Witcher of Rivia and princess of Cintra bound by destiny, finally took place which left us rooting for them more than ever. After all turning events and contrasting timelines, the fated pair finally found each other by destiny. One perfect moment in the entire season which had us hankering from the beginning for it to unfold for us.

2. Assuring Ciri that he is there for her

When Ciri bares a little of her soul for the first time after a while when they had met, her vulnerability and fear speaks to Geralt. He assures her that facing her fear is not easy, but he is there for and will not let anything happen to her. A intimate heartwarming moment we got as a treat to watch, after so many dark chaotic events in the series.

3. Ciri’s first training starts with Geralt

Soon after the attack on Kaer Morhen, Geralt is left feeling uneasy for Ciri‘s future. Realizing nowhere it’s safe now on the Continent, he hands her a sword and starts training her, so that she is able to protect herself should she end up alone. Their synergy stole the scene, with the duo exuding the feeling of perfect kindred spirits. We loved every moment of it!

4. Acknowledging Ciri as extraordinary

Bearing the guilt and hatred for what had happened till then to all around her, Ciri decides to turn into a Witcher to escape the pain and kill her feelings, believing it firmly. When Geralt stops the dangerous experiment at the perfect timing, most magnificently as a father he declares to her that she is ‘already enough and extraordinary’. The moment swelled our hearts as much as it did for Ciri.

5. Epic fatherly declaration of ‘Mine’

The best moment of all, in the entire season 2! One that showed with complete clarity that Geralt had accepted the role of father devotedly in his heart. After saving Ciri from the Nilfgardian soldiers and rescuing her, he is filled with anger towards Yennefer for putting her in harm. When dwarven Yarpen asks Geralt if the little girl is his, he fiercely declares, “Mine“! I am sure we all cheered at this moment many times than we can count.

6. Determined to not let Voleth Meir have Ciri

When the Deathless Mother had Ciri trapped and taken over her body, Geralt is devasted than ever. His resolution repeatedly to not let her take control of Ciri completely, was a fierce and awesome moment in the epic fight in the finale. He fights determined to get her back. Seeing his beloved child of destiny lost in the demon’s snare weighs on him, and he does not stop trying to pull her back to him.
